There are a couple events this week and next we'd LOVE to have our families come to. Please refer to our main calendar page (bookmark this!) for more information about these and other events/announcements.

  • Thursday, Feb. 16, is the ECEC Social Gathering from 10-11:30 a.m. This event is open to ECEC families.
  • Thursday, Feb. 16: Soda With Security in the ALA Lecture Hall from 5:30-7 p.m. SRPD School Resource Officer Dan Brown will discuss personal safety and awareness, which will be a great (and important) presentation for young people and families. This event is open to the public; dinner will be served while supplies last.

  • Wednesday, Feb. 22, is the SRES Sunflower Run from 8:45-10 a.m. along Highland Avenue (students run from Center Street to Country Club Drive and back). SRES families are encouraged to walk/run alongside the students or cheer on participants from the sidelines.
  • Thursday, Feb. 23, is the Salt River Schools Superintendent Community Forum in the ALA Lecture Hall from 5:30-7 p.m. We’ll serve dinner and have a meet-and-greet with Dr. Herne during the first part of the event; then we’ll review site/program goals and student data.

Have you signed up for the Salt River Family Read Aloud Challenge? From now through May 3, Salt River families are challenged to read 25 books over three months—there are lots of chances to win fabulous prizes! Each family will receive a Read-Aloud Family Journal to record the books and stories they read. This is open to ALL SRPMIC families.

We hope you can join us at these events – your participation and support is so appreciated! Have a wonderful week! Questions? Give us a call at 480-362-2500 or email [email protected].
