The Salt River Schools Education Board hosted a forum on April 19 for staff, students, families, and the Community to meet the three candidates for Salt River Schools Superintendent/Director of Education. Their bios are below. A series of questions were asked of each candidate, including some questions from the audience.

Dr. Clauschee is the former Associate Superintendent of Chinle Unified School District located in Northeast Arizona on the Navajo Nation. His educational career spans 30 years and has been retired from the public school system since 2020. He serves as an educational consultant working with BIE schools in AZ mentoring and coaching principals and working with teachers to develop quality instruction. Dr. Victoria Corlett is honored to be afforded the opportunity to introduce herself to the SRPMIC. Dr. Corlett was born and raised in Santa Ana, CA and attended Foothill High School where she played soccer and obtained her high school diploma with honors in 1990. Upon completion of high school, Dr. Corlett continued her education at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA where she earned bachelor’s degree in business administration and education.
