The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Council finds that regular school attendance is essential to the success of children, the well-being of families, and the strength of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. To that end, Salt River Schools enforces tribal law via our School & Community Relations department.

The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Council has approved proposed changes to the Truancy Code to move into the public comment period. Salt River Schools supports these changes. This document explains what these changes accomplish and how they could benefit Community Members and families.
