A few reminders (updated 8/2/26):
There will be road construction that will close Center Street at Camelback this week beginning August 3. Click here for details. Please consider alternate routes to/from school; students who walk should be extra vigilant about road safety and may need to adjust their path (and start time) to school.
All enrolled families at the ECEC, SRES, and the ALA must read and sign the Student and Parent Handbook, which can be found here. A printed copy can also be requested at your child’s school. The Salt River Schools Student Conduct & Discipline Handbook is also found at the same online location and must also be reviewed and signed by families.
- It’s HOT! Remember to dress your child appropriately for the
weather. Closed-toed shoes are required for student safety; students are not permitted to wear slides, slippers, or flip-flops to school. Crocs are permitted but need to be in “sport mode.” All shoes should be secured across the back of the foot. Learn more about the Salt River Schools dress code in the Student Conduct & Discipline Handbook.
- Reusable water bottles with your child’s name clearly printed on
them are encouraged.
Find meal menus for your child’s school here (bookmark this page!).
Click here to download the Salt River Schools Academic Calendar and view our upcoming events (or ask your child’s school to print one out for you at the front desk).
- Are you interested in serving on the Salt River Schools Calendar Committee to help plan out the next few years? Email [email protected] with your name and a good way to contact you, and we'll send you info about the first planning meeting.
SCHOOL-SPECIFIC REMINDERS
ECEC: Please pick up your child on time; keep in touch with the school if there are any issues. REMEMBER: A photo ID is required for pick up. Please plan to register for ProCare this week.
Please DO NOT park in the fire lane. The parking lot in front of the school is meant for parents to quickly and easily drop off/pick up their students. The fire lane must be kept clear for emergency vehicles. The Student & Parent Handbook has more information about this.
SRES
Please drop off your students in the parking lot off Highland Avenue. Do NOT drop your child off at the front office (Center Street lot) unless it is after 7:45AM.
- The crosswalk is staffed from 7:15-7:45AM. Students using scooters and bikes should utilize the crosswalk to safely cross the roads in front of SRES.
- Students are to be picked up in the parking lot off Highland Avenue, not through the front office.
All changes to a student’s dismissal need to be called in to the office no later than 2PM on regular days and by 11:30AM on Early Release days.
If a student will be absent there are three options to report this:
- Call the Attendance Line at 480-362-2467
- Text the student's name and reason for absence to 480-603-655
- Email [email protected]
ALA

Have a great first week!
